From Winter to Spring: A Season of Awakening
From Winter to Spring: A Season of Awakening
There’s a quiet moment, just before the earth begins to stir again.
The light lingers a little longer. The birds return with their morning songs. Buds begin to peek through cold soil, as if whispering, “We made it.”
This is the transition from winter to spring - and it holds deep wisdom for us, if we’re willing to pause and listen.
Just as the natural world begins to awaken, so too do we.
Not in a sudden rush, but gently… slowly… with intention.
The Gift of Winter’s Stillness
Winter is a season of contraction. It invites us to slow down, to turn inward, to conserve energy, and to rest deeply - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is the sacred pause between chapters.
But let’s be honest: winter can also be tough.
It brings darkness, both literal and metaphorical. It can reveal our shadows, challenge our rhythms, and ask us to face parts of ourselves we may have been too busy to notice during the brighter months.
Yet within that stillness lies a quiet kind of growth - like seeds beneath the frost, doing their unseen work.
Before we move too quickly into spring’s bloom, we must ask ourselves:
What has winter shown me about myself?
What have I let go of… or what is still being released?
What wisdom did I find in the darkness?

Spring: The Energy of Reawakening
Spring doesn’t demand perfection.
She doesn’t expect us to bloom fully overnight.
What she does offer is invitation.
An invitation to move. To stretch. To dream. To create.
To begin again - gently, playfully, courageously.
Spring is the energy of awakening, growth, possibility and emergence.
Where winter taught us to go inward, spring encourages us to come back into the world - this time, with more clarity and purpose.
Questions for the Threshold
As you stand at this seasonal edge - one foot in winter, one in spring - consider reflecting on:
What am I ready to leave behind with winter’s end?
What parts of me are ready to reawaken?
Where do I feel energy stirring? Excitement returning? Desire growing?
What new seeds am I ready to plant - for my wellbeing, my relationships, my creativity, or my soul?

Planting Your Intentions
Just like in a garden, planting intentions requires both clarity and care.
It’s not about forcing growth - it’s about creating the right conditions for what you want to grow.
A few gentle rituals you might try:
Journal your spring intentions - what you’re calling in, what you’re committing to, or how you want to feel
Light a candle to symbolise the return of warmth and light, and set a quiet intention as you breathe with it
Spend time in nature - notice the small signs of spring and ask what they reflect back to you
Create a morning rhythm that energises you - a short walk, breathwork, movement, or music that wakes you up from within
Speak your desires out loud - let them be heard, even if just by yourself or a trusted friend
You Don’t Need to Bloom All at Once
Remember, not everything blooms in early spring.
Some things take time.
Some seeds are still cracking open underground.
That’s okay.
This season isn’t about rushing out of the quiet - it’s about honouring the emergence.
The slow, steady rising. The unfurling. The first stretch after the long hibernation.
Let yourself bloom in your own time.
Join Us in Spring’s Awakening

If your heart is calling for more space to reflect, reconnect and reawaken, we invite you to join us at our Spring Awakening Retreat on Saturday 12th October.
It will be a full day of soulful practices, seasonal rituals, intention planting, and heartfelt connection - with other women who are ready to rise gently into their next chapter.
A few spots remain, and we’d love to hold space for you.
Until then, take these final winter days to breathe, reflect, and begin listening to what’s stirring beneath the surface.
The light is returning.
And so are you.
With love,
Kelly & Anna
